What are Leaderboards in the first place?

Think of them like a scoreboard for your learning journey. It ranks participants based on their achievements, highlighting the top performers who ace their Mindmarkers with speed and accuracy.

Leaderboards are useful on many occasions but they are not always needed or relevant.  If the leaderboard has been activated for your program, you can see how you are doing in comparison to other learners enrolled in the program.

Why are Leaderboards important?

Leaderboards are like motivational cheerleaders! They are designed to:

  • Fuel your learning: Seeing others succeed can inspire you to push harder and achieve your own goals.
  • Boost engagement: Friendly competition adds a fun twist to learning, making it more interactive and engaging.
  • Track your progress: Leaderboards offer a clear picture of where you stand compared to others, helping you gauge your progress and identify areas for improvement.

Points and Scores: The Fuel for Your Rank

Points are rewards you earn for completing Mindmarkers. The more you participate, the more points you earn, which ultimately contribute to your overall score.

Here’s how Points and Scores work:

  • Each Mindmarker is assigned a total number of available points.  
  • If you answer the question correctly and complete Mindmarkers on time, you will get 100% of the points. 
  • If you answer the question correctly but you don’t complete it in a timely manner, you will be deducted points.
  • As you would expect, if there is a question (on Knowledge Check) and you answer incorrectly, you will not get any points.

When and How are Points Deducted?

When the Program is created the criteria is set for how quickly Mindmarkers are expected to be completed and what percentage deductions are set during different time windows.   The goal, of course, is to encourage completion of Mindmarkers correctly and in a timely manner.
